Eric Wolske presents a series of drawings which disturb perceived scale by oscillating between micro and macro. These drawings are made by piling several ink drops on top of one another on soaked paper. The complexity of the effects depends partially on chance, creating luminous spots of color on white fields. Wolske manipulates the images to resemble quasars and distant galaxies, or microscopic viruses and gene clusters.

Eric Wolske is a graduate of Hunter College in New York and has exhibited his work at Weatherspoon Art Gallery, Greensboro, NC, and The Drawing Center, NYC.
